From November 1, Albania to include HPV vaccine to protect girls from cervical cancer

As part of the activities of Pink October, the month of awareness and awareness against breast cancer, “Pink-Talk”, an activity of the Ministry of Health and Social Protection, was organized with the participation of Minister Ogerta Manastirliu, women who have won the battle with breast cancer, doctors, and experts in various fields.

During her speech, Manastirliu gave the good news that starting from November 1, the HPV vaccine will be included in the national vaccination calendar.

In her speech to the audience, Minister Manastirliu said that thanks to investments in regional hospitals and mobile mammograms, we have managed to get 20,000 women a year to have mammograms for free.

Manastirliu announced that the 2023 budget will have an increase in terms of free drugs for chronic and tumor diseases.
